paper products.

In Uncategorized on September 27, 2011 at 6:12 pm

Paper products are one of my (many) weaknesses. There’s nothing like writing lists in a brand new notebook or on a blank sheet of cardstock. Fifteen Eleven recently opened (on 9.15.11) and I am quite the fan. The shop is mini in size but packed with products that make my paper-loving heart flutter.

here’s to trapper keepers,

PS – remember this quote from You’ve Got Mail? It’s one of my favorites.

“Don’t you just love…fall? It makes me want to shop for back to school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.” – Tom Hanks

perfect combination.

J.Crew in the fall is torture. Pure torture. I’m legitimately thisclose to purchasing lottery tickets so I can invest in every piece of the fall collection with my earnings. That, and pay off a student loan or two.

here’s to autumn hues making me weak in the knees,

just call me ali.

When I was young, I loved to take quizzes (via Tiger Beat and Seventeen) to see what celeb I would be best paired with, how to determine my fashion style, or what career path to take.

Today I took a Retro Fashion Persona quiz online. My style was “Free Spirit” a la Ali McGraw. While I don’t necessarily agree with this result, I had no idea who Ali McGraw was so naturally I looked her up on Pinterest.

(what a babe)

here’s to procrastination at its finest,

temporary upgrades.

In apartment, diy on September 14, 2011 at 9:14 am

I’m on the hunt for a new abode. Currently, I live in a miniature (albeit charming) room with floor to ceiling windows, and while I really do love the views it provides, it might be time for a change.

Erin from Better than Bland recently posted a DIY for her rental apartment. Her trick? Masking tape. Actually, she kind of is a masking tape master (see her other projects here and here).

(might have to replicate)

here’s to subtle details,

missoni madness.

(a bit of the collection)

Today I learned the power of Target. Well, Target combined with Missoni. At first I thought I was a little crazy for waking up extra early this morning so I could snag a few items from the Missoni for Target collection that debuted today. But now that the Target site temporarily crashed from the overwhelming amount of users? I want to pat myself on the back for making such a wise choice.

It’s amazing what a chevron pattern and Italian designers can make women do.

here’s to being the early bird,

love a good romper.

In apparel on September 12, 2011 at 11:30 am

I jumped on the romper train pretty late, picking up my first little one piece this June*.  For some reason, I thought the combo of a connected top and bottom would leave me feeling like an adult baby…like in a diaper. I really hope someone can relate, otherwise pretend I never said that.

Turns out, I kind of love rompers. Like, really love. Especially this one pretty one from Whitney Deal.

(preshy sandals, too)

here’s to ruffled hems,

*Scared to take the romper plunge? I have one from here and am obsessed.

(one of each, please*)

There seems to be a direct correlation with rainy days and my need to online peruse. Recently, my shopping bags are filled with dark, bold colors and gold, timeless accessories. Coincidentally, all of my favorites include chain detailing.

PS – does anyone else fill up virtual shopping carts, just to pretend what it’s like to have disposable income?

here’s to avoiding buyer’s remorse,
